posted Apr 16, 2019, 10:37 AM by Lisa Griffin   [ updated Apr 16, 2019, 10:47 AM ]

The School Accountability Committee has compiled data from the annual confidential Parent Stakeholder Satisfaction Survey.

The survey was conducted January 7-21, 2019 and was open to all parent members of the Stargate community.

Parent Survey results are posted in the Accountability Committee folder on the Forms and Files page. A link to the results can also be found on the School Accountability Committee page.

The goal of this survey is to gauge how Stargate is meeting the needs of your children and family. Specifically, these results are used to:
  • Create recommendations for the Governance Board
  • Prepare reports for the State of the School presentation
  • Guide the Governance Board in their reviews of the Administration
  • Monitor progress toward Stargate’s goals
The survey is anonymous! No names or IP address are collected.

Reminder - Electronic Voting for Spring Governance Board Elections

posted Mar 23, 2019, 2:17 PM by Lisa Griffin

Spring elections are right around the corner. Stakeholders will receive electronic ballot instructions on May 1.

Paperless Voting Requires a Valid Email Address

Stargate conducts elections in electronic format. Ballots are sent to the stakeholder email address on file in Infinite Campus, as per election policy. It is the responsibility of each Stargate stakeholder to reconfirm that they have a VALID EMAIL address in Infinite Campus. The Election Committee will collect the email addresses from Infinite Campus 30 days prior to the spring election. Even stakeholders who believe their email is correct are asked to please double-check and confirm. Your vote depends on it!

To check the email address registered with Infinite Campus, stakeholders can log in to Infinite Campus, https://ic.adams12.org/campus/portal/adams12.jsp.

What is a Qualified Email Address?

A “qualified” email address has three characteristics (and all must be satisfied to vote by email):
  1. Your email address must be current. A current email address is one that you check regularly (i.e. daily). It can be a work or personal email address, but it must be one that you know works and you are actively able to use.
  2. Your email address must be valid. A valid email address is one that has been entered correctly. Examples of valid email addresses are: bob21@gmail.com, dogsforbones33@comcast.net, elmer.fudd@hotmail.com. Examples of invalid addresses are: bobsemailnodomain, baddomain@gmai.cnmm, and missingatsign.com.
  3. It must be unique. A unique email address is one that is NOT SHARED (because we can only send one ballot per email address).
It is the stakeholder's responsibility to ensure they have a current, valid and unique email address registered in Infinite Campus (where the Election Committee gets the list of stakeholders and their email addresses) 30 days prior to the election.

Stargate adopted Paperless Voting in Spring 2018.

Need More Information?

For more information about elections at Stargate or paperless voting, please go to our Election Page at http://charter.stargateschool.org/elections or visit our FAQ on Paperless Voting, http://charter.stargateschool.org/elections/paperless-voting.

A reminder to check email addresses was emailed to community members on March 8, 2019. A sample of the email is provided in the PDF document at the bottom of this page.

4th Quarter 2018 - Quarterly KPI Progress Report

posted Mar 22, 2019, 7:13 PM by Lisa Griffin   [ updated Mar 22, 2019, 7:14 PM ]

The December 2018 quarterly Key Performance Indicators (KPI) report - a tool to help stakeholders better understand how Stargate is performing relative to the school's strategic plan and its KPIs - is posted below.
The document can also be found in Forms and Files, in the KPI folder.

The report will be updated quarterly by the School Accountability Committee. If you have any questions, please contact accountability@stargateschool.org.

About Stargate's Key Performance Indicators:

Key performance indicators (KPIs) are measurable values that demonstrate how the school is performing. These values are represented in five categories that align with the Governance Board’s Strategic Plan. Defined goals and measures that are outlined in the school’s Unified Improvement Plan are also included so that progress toward those goals can be more effectively evaluated and tracked. Stargate School’s KPIs are formulated and monitored by the School Accountability Committee. As data from various sources is collected and analyzed and historical trends are established, changes may be made to the scoring process. New indicators will also be included as new data becomes available. KPIs will be updated on a quarterly basis and will be made available to the Stargate community after data is finalized and approved.

The KPIs will highlight areas of strength, as well as reveal areas that require continued attention and goal-oriented strategies. The KPIs will be utilized by the Board in the preparation of each year’s Strategic Plan, as well as in their day-to-day decision making as they strive to fulfill the school’s mission.
