Dec 2017 - Quarterly KPI Progress Report

The December 2017 quarterly Key Performance Indicators (KPI) report - a tool to help stakeholders better understand how Stargate is performing relative to the school's strategic plan and its KPIs - is posted below.


The report will be updated quarterly by the School Accountability Committee. If you have any questions, please contact accountability@stargateschool.org.

About Stargate's Key Performance Indicators

Key performance indicators (KPIs) are measurable values that demonstrate how the school is performing. These values are represented in five categories that align with the Governance Board’s Strategic Plan. Defined goals and measures that are outlined in the school’s Unified Improvement Plan are also included so that progress toward those goals can be more effectively evaluated and tracked. Stargate School’s KPIs are formulated and monitored by the School Accountability Committee. As data from various sources is collected and analyzed and historical trends are established, changes may be made to the scoring process. New indicators will also be included as new data becomes available. KPIs will be updated on a quarterly basis and will be made available to the Stargate community after data is finalized and approved.

The KPIs will highlight areas of strength, as well as reveal areas that require continued attention and goal-oriented strategies. The KPIs will be utilized by the Board in the preparation of each year’s Strategic Plan, as well as in their day-to-day decision making as they strive to fulfill the school’s mission.




New - Quarterly KPI Progress Reports

Stakeholders have a new tool - a quarterly performance report - to help them better understood how Stargate is performing relative to the school's strategic plan and its Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The School Accountability Committee's first report for the school community is posted below. 


The report will be updated quarterly by the School Accountability Committee. The report reflecting numbers as of Dec. 31, 2017 will be available once information has been received and reviewed.  If you have any questions, please contact accountability@stargateschool.org.

Annual Stakeholder Survey - Jan. 5 to Jan. 19

Attention all parents. We need to hear your voice.
 
The School Accountability Committee is conducting the annual confidential Parent Stakeholder Satisfaction Survey.  The survey is NOW open January 5-19, 2018, at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6Q3Q853

The goal of this survey is to gauge how Stargate is meeting the needs of your children and family. Specifically, these results are used to:
  • Create recommendations for the Governance Board
  • Prepare reports for the State of the School presentation
  • Guide the Governance Board in their reviews of the Administration
  • Monitor progress toward Stargate’s goals
The survey is anonymous! No names or IP address are collected.

You can win a $50 Amazon gift card! To enter the drawing, please complete the following steps upon completion of the survey:
  1. Print the final page (the confirmation page).
  2. Write your child’s and teacher’s name on the page.
  3. Return it to the front desk or send it to class with your student.
Only one entry per household permitted.

Fundraising​ ​Allocation​ ​Committee - Applications Due Dec. 1

The Fundraising Allocation Committee is excited to announce the second round of fundraising allocations. Request Applications are due by December 1, 2017 and the FAC will meet on December 13, 2017 to review the requests. Any current Stargate Stakeholder or current Stargate student is welcome to apply for funds to purchase items/materials. Requests will be prioritized based on impact to students, programs, and teachers. If you have questions please reach out to your building principal. Requests that exceed $5000 must be approved by the Governance Board. If you would like to submit an applications, please access it via this link.

School Accountability Committee - Fall Election Results

Three parents have been elected to fill School Accountability Committee parent seats. Congratulations to Rob Cernich, Patrick Millmore and Amanda Szymanski. You can find more detail on the Elections page.Three staff members - Barbara Falace, Rita Stephenson and Bethanny Tarantino‐Kelly - ran unopposed and were appointed Sept. 13 at the Governance Board meeting to fill staff seats on the Accountability Committee.

Fundraising Allocation Committee - More Information

The Stargate Board of Directors reviewed and approved an updated charter for the Fundraising Allocation Committee on Sept. 13, 2017. To access the charter document, click here, or visit the Forms and Files page. Also in the Sept. 13 meeting, the Board: 
  • Allocated $15,000 to the Fundraising Allocation Committee for discretionary fundraising requests
  • Confirmed that initial applications for consideration of fund distribution will be taken until September 29, 2017

May 2017 - Election Results

Note: The Stargate Board of Directors voted Aug. 23 to appoint Elizabeth Williams to the seat vacated by Rob Kauffman's resignation in late July.

The following election results have been ratified by the Stargate School Election Committee for two seats on the Stargate School Governance Board of Directors (one seat for a 1-year term and one seat for a 3-year term).
