News from the Board: "In case you missed it": The Board last met on August 20th where they reviewed and approved the Admissions policy for Kindergarten through 8th Grade (required annually); reviewed and approved staff salary increases; reviewed the 2014-2015 fundraising plan; approved the Principal's goals for new school year; signed the board handbook/agreements; and began the process of reviewing current Board policies. Upcoming Board Meetings: September 17th: Business Meeting at 6:30 PM at Stargate September 19th: Strategic Planning Session - 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 2060 Broadway, Suite 200, Boulder, CO 80302; 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM teambuilding at Boulder Rock Club, 2829 Mapleton Avenue, Boulder, CO 80301 October 15th: Business Meeting at 6:30 PM at Stargate Stargate Governance 101: What will the Board do during the strategic planning session? Each year the Board sets time aside to plan for achievement of goals in the coming year. In addition, the participate in a teambuilding activity with the administration to build trust with the team. Any time the Board meets for a planning session, no decisions or motions will be made. Only during regular meetings can the Board take action. Keep an eye out for email details on how to vote. Ballot instructions with your unique voting code will be sent home shortly. We have 8 parent candidates for the 3 open seats on this committee: Kevin Baird, Craig DeCamp, Tom Greco, Lisa Hosfelt, Shaun McMaster, Judd Serlen, Vamsi Tirnati, and Jeff Waggoner.
