"In case you missed it": The Board met on September 18th for its regular monthly business meeting.  During the meeting they were presented with a video about the Specials team, reviewed financial audit results, approved staff bonus recommendations, discussed the initial proposal on aligning board committees with the strategic plan, introduced the candidates for the Accountability Committee election, adjusted the election voting timeline, approved the election committee charter and budget, reviewed and approved updates to the financial policies and approved board training requirements.

Elections for the Accountability Committee will be held September 30th to October 9th.  There are 9 parent candidates and 1 staff candidate for the Accountability Committee.  The parent candidates are (in alphabetical order):  Todd Baker, Matthew Bates, Ajay Chankramath, Craig DeCamp, Erica Derby, Robert Kauffman, Ricki Moseley, Linda Steeves and Carrie Wilson.  The staff candidate is Missy Hischke.  Their pictures and biographies will be available on the elections page of the governance website.

What does the Accountability Committee do?  The purpose of the Accountability Committee is to support the Board by defining, measuring and interpreting progress towards the vision and mission of the school.  They do this through a continuous cycle of planning, evaluating, measuring and reporting.  Last year, they also supported the principal with the Unified Improvement Plan (UIP) review.
