 Stargate Governance 101:

Why did the Board change the head administrator title to Principal? Based on feedback received during the search for a “Head of School,” the Board agreed to adopt a more traditional title. In addition, Josh Cochran holds an administrator’s license, one of the key requirements of the position, and as such, Principal is a more fitting title. Most important of all, the students understand the title better.
