News from the Board: "In case you missed it": The board hosted an interactive community Town Hall on April 24th. This was an opportunity for Mr. Josh Cochran to speak with the community about his candidacy for the Head of School position. He presented his vision and answered questions from the audience. The board entered an executive session following the Town Hall in order to continue the interview process. Upcoming Board Meetings: May 1st: Special Board Business Meeting at 6:00 PM at Stargate: executive session to finalize discussion on Mr. Cochran's candidacy for the Head of School position (per C.R.S. 24-6-402(f)[personnel matters]) with motion following the session. May 8th: Business Meeting at 6:00 PM at Stargate Stargate Governance 101: When do the current board terms end and when would new board members be sworn-in? Board members terms end in June of the year that they expire and new board members are sworn-in at the first board meeting in July. Currently 2 board seats will expire on June 30, 2013. These seats are up for election this spring and both seats are 3 year terms. Spring Elections: 2 Board Seats Open Interested in doing more for Stargate? Interested in being more involved?
