News from the Board: "In case you missed it": The latest planning meeting of the Board was held on February 27th. For those were unable to attend, here are some highlights: We had a constructive discussion with both parents and staff concerning a proposed Specials program change for the 5th and 6th graders. As a result, the Acting Head of School will continue to work with the Specials teams to explore the best possible options to balance providing the students with a well rounded education with a focus on the continuous improvement of all specials programs. He will present those proposals at a later date. The Board also reviewed the 2013-2014 proposed budget with the finance committee, discussed the status on the KPIs that will be reviewed further at the next meeting, and talked about the potential use of Google Drive to manage documents on the new website.
In addition, the Head of School Search Committee met on February 27th. They have narrowed the applicants to 7 highly qualified candidates. The next step will be to conduct video conference interviews with each candidate. The ultimate goal of the committee is to narrow the field to 3 or 4 recommendations for the Board.
