Upcoming Board Meetings: November 19th: Business Meeting at 6:30 PM at Stargate December 17th: Business Meeting at 6:30 PM at Stargate Stargate Governance 101: Why does the community need to vote on changes made to the Bylaws? The Board is reviewing the Bylaws for changes that will be necessary to prepare or the High School Expansion. Some of those changes are in sections of the Bylaws that can only be changed when at least 30% of the community votes and 67% of those voting approve of the changes. This was set up to make sure that the community is informed of these kinds of changes. You can expect information sessions in the Spring on what those changes will need to be well before a vote is taken. It will be critical for the community to participate in this vote. If you have a question for the board, please send an email to governance@stargateschool.org. Board Thank You: A BIG thank you from the Board to the Accountability Committee. They are reviewing the Unified Improvement Plan (UIP) for submission to the District. This is the document that is required for every school to show how we plan for continuous improvement of our students' achievements. The committee's review and recommendation to the Board is a critical component in meeting our School District deliverables. Another BIG thank you from the Board to the Community Relations Committee for their fantastic efforts in keeping our community engaged at the chili cook-off. |
