News from the Board:
"In case you missed it": The Board met on September 25 for it's annual strategic planning session. There they reviewed the financial reserve strategy with the Finance Committee Chair and went over the new campus project financials with the Stargate Foundation Chair, clarified the Board goals for the year and aligned committee goals with the KPI's, and participated in a team building session.

Fall Elections
The Bylaws question on the fall election passed by a majority vote and was ratified with more that the required number of votes. The specific results are posted on the election website and an FAQ sheet with a breakdown of every change can be found on the forms and files webpage.

Congratulations to the winners of the Bylaws raffle: Courtney Moses, winner of the VIP parking spot, Jen Black, winner of Principal for a Day, and Naomi Peters, winner of 2 tickets to the Gala.

Stargate Governance 101:
What are the responsibilities of the Recruiting Committee? The Recruiting Committee is now a standing committee and has an important function to find ways to engage the community in the governance of the school, including working with the election committee during spring and fall elections, working with the website committee on volunteer opportunities within the school and other committees. As we expand our high school, this function will become more and more important. We are looking for volunteers to join this committee. A big thank you from the Board to our incredible volunteers with the the Community Relations Committee for their work putting together spirit night at Chick-Fil-A. It was another huge event that brought our families together in support of our school.
