Hello Stargate Community,

It is with a mix of sadness and support that I announce Tina Donahue's departure from the Stargate Governance Board of Directors. Tina has decided to resign her position, effective immediately, to focus on other areas. I would like to personally thank her for her service on the Stargate Board. 

According to our Bylaws, the Board must appoint a new member within 30 days to serve until the next election. Interested applicants should complete the online application (found HERE) no later than Monday, February 13 at 10 PM. As part of the process, all of those that apply will be interviewed by the Board during the next Board meeting (Wednesday, February 15 at 6:30 PM) for formal appointment by a majority vote at that meeting.

The successful applicant will serve until the next election. At that time the position will enter the election and a candidate will be elected to complete the remaining term (until June 2018).

Purpose: To serve the Board of Directors for Stargate Charter School as a voting member, to develop policies for the operation of the organization, to monitor and evaluate its finances, programs and performance

Time Requirement: Typically 6 - 8 hours per month, including board meetings, required training, events, committee meetings, and outside preparation time.
