Executive Director of Academics Search Update

The Executive Director of Academics Search Ad Hoc Committee has identified the top three candidates to move forward with the next steps in the hiring process. The committee was comprised of 10 teachers, 5 support staff, 3 members of administration, 1 Adams12 district representative, 2 Stargate board members, and 1 Stargate Accountability Committee member. We had nearly 80 people apply for the position and the Ad Hoc Committee reviewed and ranked 31 qualified applicants. The Ad Hoc Committee then interviewed 7 candidates and voted on the three finalists. The candidates were evaluated based on community feedback regarding the following characteristics: Administration/Higher Level Leadership Experience, Gifted Education Experience, Curriculum and Instruction Experience, Community Outreach and Engagement, Social Emotional Learning, Charter School Experience, Special Education Experience, Strategic Planning Experience.

Please join us on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 6:30 in the Elementary Commons, for a Town Hall Community Meeting to meet these three final candidates. If you have questions you would like to be considered for the Town Hall, please complete the form found HERE. Questions are due by midnight on Sunday, March 31, 2019. Feedback about the candidates from the Stargate community will be gathered after the Town Hall for presentation to the Stargate Board of Directors.

Interviews for the Executive Director of Academics position with the Stargate Board of Directors will be held at Stargate on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from 10am - 1pm. The final board discussion and decision will be during an open meeting at 6:30pm on Wednesday, April 3, 2019. Both of these meetings will be held in the Performing Arts Auditorium.
