There was significant interest in building a Baseball/Softball field on campus so Stargate High School will have a daily practice location and a home field. It is expected that a baseball field would be permitted to be located at the east end of the Stargate property in the floodplain.

The working group decided to leave this project off the list of recommendations to allow other projects to proceed first. Because this project will most likely require additional parking, it would be better to proceed after the scope of future parking upgrades options is more certain. It is also possible that funding necessary for a baseball/softball field may become available as risk contingency reserves from other projects are released, depending on how those projects progress.
