Communicating with the Board

Stargate School is a partnership between dedicated parents and professional educators working together to provide a high quality educational experience for gifted students. Board members leverage a number of communications channels to build relationships with community members, as well as to ensure accountability and transparency as they plan for the future, set school policy, oversee finances and promote Stargate's vision and mission.

Communications Vehicles

Board Meeting Summary - Email Blast - a board meeting summary is distributed to community members after each board meeting via the Adams 12 Five Star Schools' Infinite Campus (IC) system.

Board Announcements - are distributed via RSS feed. You can access them here, via the "recent announcements" links on the right hand side of this page or via the "board announcements" link on the left hand side of this page.

Urgent Announcements - are distributed via the Adams 12 Five Star Schools' Infinite Campus (IC) system.

Board Meetings - agendas are posted prior to each meeting. Meetings are open to the public. All regular board meetings include open mic time for public comment. Public participation outside of open mic must be kept to a minimum so the board can proceed with its agenda within a reasonable time. Should public discussion be requested on agenda items, whether by the board or the community, it will be noted as such on the agenda.

Stakeholders Meeting - in addition to its regular meetings, the board provides an annual update each fall - usually in September - outlining the strategic goals for Stargate. You can find copies of these updates posted on the Board Meeting Agendas and Minutes page.

State of the School - each spring, the board, in conjunction with the school's Accountability Committee, hosts a “state of the school” presentation where community members can learn more about results from the annual stakeholder survey, progress on educational goals, the school's financial health, fundraising highlights and more. You can find copies of these updates on the Board Meeting Agendas and Minutes page.
